Launched in 2025, URAKAN began its journey as a digital magazine offering a fresh, critical perspective to all participants in the art ecosystem. Our mission is to highlight various movements within the art world, delve deeper into the latest trends, and spark discussions on the important issues surrounding them.

An integral part of our journey is fostering an environment that supports art writing. By engaging a diverse range of new and experienced writers, we aim to cultivate a culture of art criticism and rich dialogue. These voices bring varied perspectives and expertise, enriching our content and making URAKAN a vibrant tapestry of thoughts and ideas.

URAKAN publishes several articles each week, compiled into a monthly editorial. Our contributors are spread across various cities such as Yogyakarta, Solo, Jakarta, Tulungagung, and the list continues to grow.
